With Volume Two of our Women of Horror series released on July 20th, it’s now time to start preparing for Volume 3!
So, we present to you the open call for the Kandisha Press Women of Horror Anthology Volume 3: THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY
Bring us your stalker stories, your tales of unrequited love, the lion you have chained in your wardrobe, or just your average horrific play on words. ie: it doesn’t have to be a story based on a tragedy or lost romance. It can be anything the title brings to mind- just bring us the chills! Open to anyone who identifies as a woman.
This book will be published in celebration of WOMEN IN HORROR month, February 2021!

Theme: THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY
Deadline: December 1st, 2020
Word Count: 2000-5000 Words (We won’t bite if you go over)
Restrictions: No rape, child abuse, homophobia, transphobia, racism or animal abuse! And please, absolutely no toilet humor.
Multiple Submissions: Accepted
Reprints: Accepted as long as you have the rights to republish
Payment: Royalties through Bundle Rabbit. Final percentage depends on how many authors are in the book. Each author will receive one copy in .mobi, .epub and .pdf formats.
Acceptances will be announced after the deadline of December 1st, when all the submissions are in. Please be patient while we read all the stories. 🙂
Formatting: Standard 12pt font, please no large or colored fonts. Standard margins. Please make sure to put your name, address and email address on the top of the first page. Also include your bio and social links.

I have a story I would love to submit! It only has 1755 words, so I’ll have to add a bit, but I’m sure it needs a couple of edits anyway. It’s currently posted on my blog, but I only have like 3 followers and they probably didn’t even read it. Lol
