Tell us a little about your story.
My story is about a mom who is fed up with the judgmental women in her neighborhood. She tried to ignore their antics in the past, but once they come for her kids… well, you’ll see!
Why did you want to write a slasher story and do you feel you brought something different to the table?
I was intrigued by the idea of writing a slasher, since it’s not a trope I would have imagined myself writing before. It’s nice to step out of one’s comfort zone once in a while.
Why is it important to you to have a woman led press like Kandisha?
I think it’s important to lift up and aim the spotlight on women horror writers, and Kandisha does just that.
What’s next for you?
I am going to guest edit a mermaid themed anthology this summer, and I have three more short stories featured in anthologies being published in 2022.
